About: Hi there! My name is Natalie Bones. I graduated from Texas State in the Summer of 2019 with a Bachelor’s of Science in Human Development and Family Science with a minor in Psychology. I’ve been working with kiddos since I was a kiddo myself! At 16 I started working at a children’s cooking academy and taught cooking classes there for 4 years. I have nannied multiple families over the years, worked at trampoline parks, interned at Thinkery Museum, and was a substitute teacher after graduating. I am currently finishing up my online teaching certificate (K-6) through Texas Teachers of Tomorrow! While doing that, I’ve been fortunate to have found a pod in July. As a group of four 1st graders, we have been able to successfully have fun while doing remote learning while facing zero covid challenges. As their pod leader, I make sure all their assignments are understood and completed. Together we create activities and games, we practice safety precautions, and most of all, create an environment that’s playful and full of growth. My pod has decided to try school out come February. I would love to continue helping families assist with remote learning! I currently live in San Marcos but am able to commute.
