About: I am Smit! I have graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering followed with a Master’s of Science in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Temple University. I am an Engineer by profession but very passionate about teaching. I owe my great success in college to my amazing and unforgettable professors who taught some of the most difficult topics with so ease. These have become the foundation of my commitment to helping out my students and do everything possible to make a great learning experience for the students. Getting to know the student and discussing our goals is always my first priority.
I have tutored many Math courses such as basic Arithmetic, Pre-Algebra, Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry to Calculus 1, 2 & 3 along with Differential Equations from Elementary to College Level. Additionally, I have also tutored students for various standardized test such as ACT, SAT, AP. I have offered teaching services for General Computers for all age group from kids to adults. My goal has always been to improve each student's conceptual understanding of any subjects so that they can tackle any problems with ease and confidence.
I have found that each student is unique, and I have learned to quickly pick up on things such as their interests, best style of learning, and strengths and challenges. These enable me to create an individualized study plan for each student, which leads them to success and bring confidence in them. I present a unique tutoring style where I build strong relationships with my students to help them continue their development as a students and as a person.. I focus on the detailed explanations of complex concepts and work with them to help them succeed. I always try to make it a fun learning experience for my students
My goal is to help a student reach that "aha!" moment and it is something that I shall never get tired of doing. I enjoy seeing how encouraged people become once they understand a difficult problem. This make them become more enthusiastic and open to the subject, which leads to deeper understanding and better performance. I want to benefit my students as much as possible, and I am open to any suggestions parents would provide. Let's study!! and make the world even better!!
